Background: Past New Zealand Organisation for Quality Development Director, Michael Voss has a background in science, engineering, communications, research and development, manufacturing, leading high-growth companies and governance.
Memberships: He is a member of the NZ Institute of Directors, Associate Fellow of Institute of Management of New Zealand, member of Institution of Professional Engineers of New Zealand, and member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
Michael worked for the New Zealand and US governments and in private enterprise before setting up his own business improvement consultancy in 1999. He has worked with the Baldrige business excellence model for over 20 years. He has designed awards programmes, trained judges, examiners, and award applicants, led evaluation teams, and been involving in assessing hundreds of organisations from two-person partnerships to multi-site companies in New Zealand and overseas.
Michael has designed organisational assessment processes, organisational improvement tools, and is co-developer of a best practice benchmarking methodology. He is a seasoned trainer, facilitator, author and speaker.
Michael is the recognised ‘go to guy’ for unlocking the barriers to growth in companies of all sizes and across all industries. Michael enjoys cycling the hills in the beautiful rural Rangitikei where he lives with his wife Allison. They enjoy theatre, music, gardening, and time with family and friends.
