As an International Executive with Apple Computers and then an Angel investor and Venture Capitalist Keith Phillips has participated in a number of “Digital Transformations”. At Apple, he participated in the transformation of Computing and publishing launching the Macintosh in the UK and leading the Desktop publishing revolution. As an Angel investor and CEO of Terabyte he led the industry into Interactive Multimedia and as a Director of a number of hi-tech start-ups, he helped in the digital revolution. For the last 15 years, his focus has been on on the Business Excellence sector where digital technologies can lead to a dramatic shift in the value delivered to business organisations. “There is a whole industry that is gathering data on paper or spreadsheets. These are isolated islands of information that when harvested lead to an exponential understanding of whole communities of business.” He has become a leader in understanding how to implement digital assessment systems for ISO, Food Quality, Supply Chain quality improvement and Organisational Excellence.

His company, QLBS (Quantum Leap Beyond Spreadsheets), has deployed digital assessment systems for Tourism Australia, Business Australia, AusSports, NZ Food and Beverage, NZ Business Excellence Foundation. The QLBS “cloud” platform offers any excellence practitioner on-line and off-line assessment and business advisory, across communities and supply chains.
