Joe Hollander is a founding (1977) member of NZOQ and has served on the old Manawatu Branch Committee and as a Director, National Vice-President and Board Chair of NZOQ, since re-joining the Board in 2004. Prior to that, he served on the advisory Audit and Risk sub-committee for NZOQ and as MC for several quality and related conferences held throughout New Zealand over the past 20-30 years. He was also a founding member of the old Total Quality Management Institute (TQMI), which eventually morphed into the NZBEF.
Joe is now a retired professional (civil and industrial) engineer, who continues as a director, trustee, chair and member of a number of not-for-profit community organisations, boards and trusts. He was made a Life Fellow of the NZ Institute of Management (NZIM) in 2003, an Honorary Life Member of NZOQ in 2005, a recipient of the NZOQ Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016 and is one of the few elected (1991) Fellows of the World Academy of Productivity Science in New Zealand, in recognition of his contribution and service to these organisations.
Joe was the Master of Ceremonies (MC) for the 22nd APQO Conference held in Rotorua in November 2016. He is delighted to be the MC for the NZBEF & NZOQ Performance Excellence Conference being held in Auckland in March 2019.
