Ravi Fernando is a Business Excellence and Innovation professional with 20+ years’ experience working with Australian and Global organisations. Having started his professional career as a process improvement specialist with Accenture, Ravi has worked with leading management consultancies like Deloitte, CGI and SAI Global to deliver tailored improvement and innovation solutions to global clients. Prior to joining Thrive Plus, Ravi was the Head of Improvement Solutions for SAI Global and led a team managing the Australian Business Excellence Framework and the associated Australian Excellence Awards. In addition to his work with Thrive Plus, Ravi is currently an Advisory Director and the CEO of Business Excellence Australia, Australia’s representative on the Global Excellence Model Council. Ravi is also a member of the ASQ Organisational Excellence Technical Committee.
Ravi has extensive experience in guiding organisations through transformational change initiatives leveraging international Excellence Models and recognised innovation frameworks. His focus in recent years has been the
development and implementation of tailored innovation and improvement systems for diverse clients ranging from global multinationals to local councils. improvement and change management. He has worked to deliver rapid and quantifiable improvements through the application of best practice thinking and business excellence models to develop innovative approaches to
deliver sustained improvement and promote organisational excellence.
In the Telecommunications field, Ravi has worked with Telstra, Alphawest, Optus and Vodaphone Hutchison to provide project management, change management, process improvement and business excellence expertise to guide leading large and complex business and technology transformation initiatives.
His government experience includes leading business excellence, leadership development and continuous improvement initiatives at all levels of government – local, state and federal. Ravi has enabled and accelerated organisational transformation to incorporate leadership & management best practices. Some of his clients have included NSW Police, NSW OEH, VIC Police, QLD Department of Justice, ATO, WA Main Roads and numerous Local Councils.
